wenn man die maische nicht anbrennen lässt, dh. beim aufheizen aufpasst, passiert nix. auch sollte man natürlich den überhitzungsschutz deaktivieren. sonst schaltet er aus und nix geht mehr.

bis dato bin ich sehr zufrieden. hab ihn auch schon als regulären einkocher verwendet. funktioniert tadellos.

meiner einschätzung nach ist das ding eigentlich unkaputbar. wenn man das email nicht zerstört oder die beschichtete heizeinheit ab topfboden, sollte das ding ewig halten.

it should not be too thin, in order to be able to transfer enough power.
as this is a device with quite some current you should not underdimension this.

i strongly advise against connecting the two wires with just a little tape, even a lot tape is not better. tape will break. the device heats up and cools down. tape is not made for that, the connection will break and at best leave you with a broken device.

another method would be to purchase two male connectors, connect them with a piece of wire and put those in between. however you would have to insulate it somehow.

if it does not have to be reversible, you can just cut the connectors ans solder the ends together or connect them with a luster [1] or something similar.
it may even be possible to stick the two parts together without anything in between. you might give that a try.

no guarantee if anything goes wrong!

I recently purchased the Severin 3653 to use for home brewing. I intend to modify as per your post.

I would like to have the ability to reverse the modification in the future if necessary. If your mod you used a steel car windshield wiper. Could you recommend any other ‘everyday’ materials I could use as a bolt connector? Also, if I were to NOT connect the two wires as in your ‘Step 6′ and instead close them with a bunch of electrical tape on the ends would the heating element still work or is this part of the circuit?

Doch leider muss ich sagen, dass die Informationen, die da daherkommen meistens nicht wirklich hilfreich sind. Typischerweise steht 1 1/2 Tage, dass das Paket angenommen wurde. Dann liegt es ein paar Tage zur Auslieferung bereit in einem Lager (in D?). (Die sehr misverständliche Benennung der Zustände der Paketsendung ist ein eigenes ärgerliches Thema.) Und innerhalb von ein paar Stunden wird es dann versendet, ist in Auslieferung und wird zugestellt.

Diese Verzögerungen haben bei meinen letzten Paketzustellungen keinen Informationsvorsprung gegenüber »lassen wir uns überraschen« gebracht :-(

Aber immerhin: ein neues Gadget, das etwas von der realen Welt in die virtuelle überträgt.
